I had some Clark Terry on in the car this morning (which automatically makes traffic bearable), and heard him trading fours with himself, alternating between flugelhorn and harmon-muted trumpet. Can you all think of trombonists who've done similar things?

Charlie Vernon used to do a solo piece with the CSO requiring him to play alto, tenor, and bass trombone (Alteba?).

Mic Gillette used to play fours against himself - trumpet in one hand, trombone in the other. Don't have any tapes of it, but it was fun.
