Let's hope it doesn't take as long as their last trombone audition.

That link takes me to their audition page, which only lists auditions for section bass. I don't see anything for trombone. Is it just me?

It's on LastRow, but when you click on the link to the LA Phil site there is only an audition for section bass.
I guess Megan needs a new chair; the time is opportune.

The 2nd Trombone Ad is in the International Musician that came in today's mail. February 2017 issue with Art Neville on the cover.

Sonny leaving the LA Phil is truly the end of an era. With the exception of the NY Phil, most of the classic sections that were big in the recording boom have passed the torch. I hope that in whatever way the LA section materializes/solidifies that they retain the timbre that made them different and beautiful. The Sauer/Ausman/Reynolds section was really something special and beautiful.

Thanks, just checking that I'm not crazy.
I'll get the details elsewhere.

I'm going to be 100% honest. I am probably not qualified. And I'm pretty sure that LA Phil screens applications before offering you an audition. If that's the way it works this time, I'll send an application and see what happens.
