So here is my second post to prove I'm not a bot. The moderators are doing a great job to ensure the group is not infiltrated by Russian bots. Last thing we need is a Russian bot advising trombonists that drinking beer is bad for your embouchure!

Okay, I sent a PM, but it shows in my Outbox and not in my Sent.

If I do that at work it means it didn't send and will never send. Is that the way it works here?

That messed me up on phpbb, too. It just means that the recipient hasn't yet read it.

p.s. it seems that PMs are not functioning as expected for me, perhaps because of "new member" status? I can't seem to verify that they have sent. Some replies also just sit in the "Outbox" with no way to send.

We love newbie parents. Ask as many questions as you can. We're only here to help. Rather you buy something sensible than waste money on something you won't even be able to pass on if the kid decides he wants something else.

Btw, you didn't need to put two posts here. The two posts you put in the thread asking for help counted. You were able to send and receive messages as soon as the second one was approved by one of us Mods.
