Not sure if this would interest you, but the Eastern Music Festival is in its 4th week here in Greensboro, NC at Guilford College. I am a student here (tenor trombone) and there are 9 trombone students here in total. I know at least one of them has a mouthpiece of yours. Thought I'd mention it as it seems like it could be a convenient stop for you (right off I-85). Also have great concerts lined up Friday and Saturday: Scheherazade and Ein Heldenleben!

I might stop by just to say hi to Rusty... Haven't seen him in many years. I just ran into Alex K recently. And I know a couple others of the faculty. Depends on how the time works out.

I heard from Bob Devine, that you might be coming through. Unfortunately, I leave Monday (7/17) for Lansing, MI and won't return until the following Tuesday (7/25). I had hope to do a lesson and possibly get fitted for a piece. Are you on the he home stretch of your summer travels?

Yes I'm on the way home from ITF now, having gone all around the country teaching and visiting friends and relatives.
Today is Oklahoma City, then going through Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta.
By the time I get home I will have put at least 10,000 miles on my car in 5 weeks. I've seen temperatures from 34 (Beartooth Highway in Montana and Wyoming) to 117 (Phoenix), and altitudes to around 9,000 feet (North rim of the Grand Canyon, and around Salt Lake City).

We are really looking forward to hosting you at the Atlanta Trombone Ensemble rehearsal Thursday evening!
For those of you who are in the area and interested, we will be at the Mt. Paran Church, 2055 Mt. Paran Road, Atlanta 30327. Doors will open at 6:30, the plan is to do a little trombone choir playing and let Doug do the Doug thing!

Got it! You are ABSOLUTELY welcome to jump in with us! Bring your horn and plan on doing some playing! Same thing goes for anyone who might be thinking of coming, we will do some trombone choir playing and everyone is welcome to join in.
