I should know this, but somehow don't. There are a fair number of military musicians here, and I'm hoping someone will know. When performing the national anthem and service songs, when do you play the anthem? I have the of the service songs, just not sure if the anthem should come first or last.
Thanks for the help.

national anthem
Anthem usually goes first.
Note that there are two "official" versions, one in Bb and one in Ab. The Ab is supposedly easier to sing (doen't go quite so high).
We have a version from the Civil War that is in Eb with a florid Eb cornet flourish, but it's not official and we have to warn listeners when we play it.
