I started playing my Bach 7C again this week. It's from the 90s, so I guess this makes it a "modern" one. I always liked it, but the rim was always too sharp for me--too flat on top with not much taper on the inner edge. Not sharp enough for me to go "I can't play this ever again," but sharp enough to think, "Hey, that's a sharp rim and now my chops hurt a little."
Since it's a modern one, I'm hoping someone can give a comparison to something that might be a little rounder. Maybe the Blessing or Faxx 7C? Or something else?

The Bach 6 3/4C has a well rounded rim, also the Bach 8 1/2 BW but with a very wide rim.

If your chops hurt from a 7C you may want to try to press the metal against your lips a little less...Or may be pulling the corners of the mouth sideways too much.

13CL or 15CL. The most rounded mouthpieces ever made.
