I bought an old trombone and it had an H. N. White Equa-tru 28 mouthpiece in the case.
This one looks pretty old. All the stamping on the side is crooked. Obviously done by hand.
Has anybody here had experience with one of these?

I believe that's what Urbie Green and Curtis Fuller played on their best known recordings. Curtis used it with a shank adapter on his large bore Olds Opera. Andy Martin played one, and his Kanstul mouthpiece is based on it.

Re: Equa-tru Mouthpiece
I have one and am trying it out.
One week in and I have no complaints. A fantastic mouthpiece and looks like I will stick with it.
It’s in pretty good condition for its age.
To me it feels like a larger Bach 11 but with a more open throat and more comfortable rim that supports the lips really well.
It plays easily through my entire range with a good full sound and flexibility.
Also my endurance has improved.
H.N. White certainly knew a thing or two about mouthpieces but they don’t seem to come up for sale very often. I guess folk that own them hang onto them.
This one is a keeper

However,
I’m also test driving the new Boqar Baro - Dennis Rollins signature mpc.
This is very modern, quite heavy and can blow the saloon doors off.
Also a keeper and possibly my everyday mpc on my 70’s King 3B.
I shall write a review elsewhere on here when I’ve spent more time on it.
