the piece I want to order has several versions
there is also a music minus one which has the solo part and of course piano accompaniment CD.

why spend $20.55 for solo w/piano part vs $6.50 ?
what would be the difference anyway ?

Barat
Andante & Allegro

You can even get it for free:

Is there a particular version that is required (e.g. for Solo and Ensemble)?

Generally some versions have nicer engraving.  Some just price higher because they want to.

The one on IMSLP is the one I used back in the day.  I believe the original publisher was Leduc.

I guess I was just curious to see if there even was a difference
I think engraving is nice but not required.

Image your link didn't work for me, though
when it does work, is piano part included ?

Try this one - http://imslp.org/wiki/Andante_et_Allegro_(Barat,_Joseph_Edouard) - looks like piano score and solo part are there.

It'll make a difference if you're doing A and A for a competition or audition where they've specified the edition. Image
