SOLD: Edwards tenor trombone bell

Selling an early Edwards 323 red brass 22 gauge, 8 1/2 inch, soldered rim tenor trombone bell. Excellent condition bell flare only with old style Edward's fittings; better than 97% lacquer. No dents, dings, or any prior dent work. Dense, rich, dark sound, think red brass Bach 42. Asking $215 shipped CONUS only.

What - hypothetically - would need to be done to make this work with current Edwards components? Were the old style posts fitted with threaded body-lock-type rings as they are now, or was it entirely different?

Not the OP but originally Edwards horns were all thayer valves and they were attached with two winged connectors that had screws in them. Ltaer horns all have "edge bracing" which makes this obsolete so if anything this bell would be modular with both old and new thayer valves but obviously check with the op first.

The difference as far as I'm aware is that the newer bells do not have the tab to connect to the valve section, but the cross brace connection points are the same. It's easy to add/remove that tab depending on the valve section age, and Edwards will sell you that tab if you need one.
