SOLD 2 Bach Basses for sale

Post by bassbone » Mon May 14, 2018 7:43 pm

Horn 1: Corporation Bach 50B2 Asking $2,000 + s/h OBO

Serial number is 136xx, which puts this being made around 1972

Case is included, but would probably need to be replaced. The original 2nd valve extension is also included, which is a $1,000+ option on Hickeys right now.

The original linkages have been replaced by something quieter, but the roller levers with both valves operated by the thumb is in tact.

Will ship anywhere in the world, but shipping is on top of asking price. I will charge $20 for shipping materials (actual cost I got them for) plus whatever it costs to ship a 15 x 15 x 48 inch box that weighs 21Lbs 12oz to you.

Horn 2: Bach 50BG3LHO Asking $2,500 + s/h OBO SOLD
Photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ui11oyw4lcc7 ... gMLza?dl=0

Selling a 50B3GHLO s/n 784xx from the late 80's.

For those not familiar with Bach's lettering/numbering on model numbers, this is a dual independent valve Open wrap horn with a Gold brass 10.5" Heavy weight bell.

Instrument has had original leadpipe pulled, and a yellow brass MK Drawing MK50 press fit leadpipe is included (their version of a Mount Vernon Bach 50 pipe) as is the leather Giardinelli Gig bag that is pictured.

No plating wear on stockings, slide works well, old ball and socket valve linkages have been replaced, and as you can see this is in very good condition overall. If I were to make this my every day horn the only thing I would change is the 2nd valve lever, which would need to be bent differently to work for me.

Will ship anywhere in the world, but shipping is on top of asking price. I will charge $20 for shipping materials (actual cost I got them for) plus whatever it costs to ship a 15 x 15 x 48 inch box that weighs 16Lbs4oz to you.
