The 170 was only available in Japan and had an 8.5 inch red brass bell, narrower tuning slide and f-attachment width and came with what was basically a 150 slide with better ergonomics (both hand braces were soldered more upwards the f-attachment lever).
TR170 was designed for Masakatsu Kurita, principal trombone of the NHK Symphony Orchestra"
There are several TR170's currently for sale that are located in the U.S.
If anyone out there has played one, I would appreciate any comments regarding this instrument.
