Just got in a new Merf Gumby Cup mute today - excellent mute, really dependable low register, good for fast mute changes, and real nice for touring. I was able to compare it to a Trumcor, Wick, and Stoneline mute before having to leave for the day, and I can tell that it's going to go straight with me to rehearsal this afternoon!

The Merf screw system in particular is a nice way to add versatility and sounds to base option. I felt a large difference in feedback and haptic feel with the different screws, and hope it comes across as clearly on a cell phone recording as it did in the room.

You should get a set of Cork Adapter sets from S-Mute to resurrect your H & B Stonelined mute(s). I did it for a few of mine - easy to install; work great! And makes the mute easily adaptable to different bell diameters.
