Hello from Michigan

Hi All,
My name is Bill. I’m a new member of TromboneChat who lives in southeastern Michigan. I’ve made some posts (most are waiting for approval) but I wanted to introduce myself here.
I’ve been playing trombone for well over 50 years. I was a full-time pro player in my 20s then pivoted to be an occasional weekend warrior while I was an IT software developer during the day. I retired from that a couple of years ago and have been working on getting my chops back.
I’m mostly a jazz player, mainly on a Yamaha 891Z .508 bore tenor but sometimes on a Getzen 1062FD bass. I play occasional orchestra and church gigs on a Besson BE944 Sovereign large-bore tenor.
This forum is a great resource. I’m looking forward to participating in it regularly.
