I'm wondering, since there are books on writing and arranging for orchestra, if there are any for writing for brass band or concert band?

Also - a book that might be worth checking out is Arranging for the Concert Band by Frank Erickson. It's a bit older (from 1983) but still has a lot of great info. That and it's pretty easy to find a used copy somewhere online for like ten bucks.
