Hello,
What are the differences between the more classic model King 3BF Concert and the new model King 2103F Legend?
Thanks!

Just when they were built. I'd personally get an older horn almost every time.

They are the same horn. Maybe 10-15 years ago I would’ve went with older is better, but a lot of the older and well used kings have worn out leadpipes now…played a 70s 3BF that was pretty good, an HN White that was surprisingly clunky, and a 2103F from 2006 that was AMAZING. Try them all!

Thanks! So the materials or manufacturing are supposed to be better in a Concert?

Generally, the build quality was better during the HN White and King Musical instrument “Concert” era. But there were certainly some good ones built during UMI and Conn Selmer era as well.alberttrombone wrote: Fri Mar 13, 2026 9:24 am Thanks!
