I've enjoyed Levi McClain's nerdy music theory videos but IMHO this one just went to the next level.

I definitely have wondered when looking at some early American hymn books why they used different notehead shapes.

That was an informative video, I actually watched the whole thing. Coming from folk/trad, I have known about shape note singing, but the history was entirely new to me.
I own a trombone, playing is a different thing...
