Big Ol’ Band - New Record
Hey all, shameless self plug here. I lead a big band in LA, write all the charts, and occasionally play in front of the band. We recorded a record last summer and it just recently released. We had a really successful album release show last week at Herb Alpert’s club in Bel Air.
It also includes three forum regulars - Ido Meshulam, Tiffany Johns, and Aidan Ritchie. Take a listen at the link below if you like! Cheers.

Great band, great chart! Love the trombone sound, particularly the great bass trombone licks with the bass! Congratulations!

The digital album is through that link, I’m not sure why that player is what populates when I linked the page. Thanks for checking it out, I’m proud of all the work that went into this. Already looking ahead toward the next one in a few years.
I’ll be releasing the full album on digital streaming platforms late spring. Going to try and sell as much of the vinyl I have before I release it that way.

Made my way through the whole album, loved it!
Great writing and playing, what a bone section - wow
Kudos to the recording & mastering engineers as well. Colorful, lush & full with a feeling of air in between all of the instruments.
And if I may, I found it refreshing to hear modern big band writing which does not rely on sections of tutti atonal chaos and/or completely hiding the downbeat from the listener in order to be confidently considered "new music".

Nice, reminds me of Gerald Wilson, in a good way.
