I'm going on tour with my solo programme starting this week, in a couple of phases over the next 2½ months. We'll be giving a series of recitals and masterclasses throughout Canada. (apologies to Americans who might have wanted to attend, but we had to cancel our US plans because of all the craziness down there and the explosion of visa wait times in the last year)

I hope maybe to meet some of you!

Looking forward to seeing you soon! One thing - I have the Masterclass listed as being on March 9th (Monday). Which is correct?

Yes that's correct! Thanks for pointing it out, I messed it up in the original post, now it's corrected

For those interested, I just found out my lecture-recital today at 5PM Pacific (8PM Eastern) will be livestreamed – it can be watched here: https://ubc.ca.panopto.com/Panopto/Page ... e9002b8281. If that link doesn't work directly, you can access it from a link at the bottom of the event page, here: https://greencollege.ubc.ca/events/scor ... ell-voice?. You'll also find a link there to submit questions for the Q&A.

I don't know how good the quality of the livestream will be in terms of the "recital" portion and demonstration. But the lecture portion is about what it means to play vocally and imitate the voice, and how that can immensely increase our musicality.

Little addition to my previous post: it appears that the lecture is staying available online at the link above, at least temporarily. I'm not sure for how long, so it you're interested in my approach to vocal playing, this is the time to watch it!

Sound quality when playing is inconsistent, but should be enough to get the points I'm making, for the most part.

This lecture expands on the point I was discussing with you the other day on the "recordings of vocalists singing Bordogni" thread.

Caught the concert this aft at St. Anselm’s. M. Brisson, Christophe Gauthier, harpsichord, and Bahareh Poureslami, soprano. Very enjoyable.

Thank you! Tricky acoustic there with all the carpet, definitely tired me out a lot faster, and made certain pieces a lot harder to play (especially my sonata), but it was a fun concert to play nonetheless!
