Does having the slide outer material and the valve wrap material not match make the valve range sound different? I know that Edwards is a company that makes the materials match in most of their models, but is there a noticeable difference in sound in the valve range and the regular range when the slide and wrap material is different, compared to when they are the same?
All you are trying to do with a valve, in my opinion, is make it feel like the slide is 6 positions longer. Yes, the bore of the wrap is larger than the slide, and it is going through a valve, but does the added difference of material make the sound difference more noticeable?
I am just asking for any of your experiences, and any input would be nice.
Thanks.

C on 6th position, on 1st with F valve, on 2nd with Gb valve, and on 3rd with both F and Gb valve feel and sound different even with same material used across the horn to begin with.
