Raw brass bell and automotive ceramic coat polish?

Has anyone tried automotive ceramic coating on a raw brass bell?
Just finished stripping my 8H - it was awful - and pondering whether to try it.
I've used pure carnuba to keep the bells looking decent, but the ceramic coating looks intriguing.
