depth of a mouthpiece

Post by victor »

Hello everyone.
Is there any way to reduce the depth of a mouthpiece?
Thanks!

I think Denis Wick did it with clear nail polish in the 70s. Don't quote me on that, though.

lowering the support edge. You will need a lathe to do it and then you have to re-silver it. I did it with one of mine that I wanted to modify yet. I haven't had it silver-plated and apart from feeling a little metal smell which then disappears almost completely you get used to it and it is less sticky than silver plating.
