Hello all,
does somebody know if the tenon and the thread of Shires, Edwards or Bach slides are soldered on?

The tenon is a separate part on Edwards and shires trombones most of the time, as well as most Bachs.

For Bachs, it depends on the age. On older Bachs, the threaded tenon was its own part. New Bachs (I’m guessing the change was made some time around 2010) the tenon and the tube with the 90 degree flange are one continuous piece.
