I do--it's my go-to mid-size mouthpiece. I think it's very easy to play and has a nice sound. I also love the rim. I find it super comfortable.

If you don’t like a wide flat rim, this won’t be the mouthpiece for you.

I almost added that the rim is a bit divisive. ;)

I don’t find that the rim shape impedes flexibility like some other flat rims, albeit I am on the less sensitive side when it comes to rim shape. Definitely buy on the used market if you’re going in blind so that you can easily resell if it’s not for you.

Its flat, but the inner edge is very soft. I really didn’t like it, but I liked everything else about it. I had one with a modified rim at one point. That improved it for me. I’m on to something else now.

Some years ago I had the second version of Oft Alto mouthpiece (I think it has lighter blank compare to first), and I agree with you, rim was uncomfortable. Could be interesting have comparison between both two models.

I've used one in my Yamaha alto for a few years now. I like it quite a lot. The response is very even across the range of the horn (an old Yamaha 671), and while it still has a nice, "alto-y" sound, it's warm enough for good blend in the section.

Out of curiosity, what are you on now for alto?

I play oft mouthpiece with conn 36. Not the best match for solo but I like the solid feeling and good for orchestra playing.
