For the heck of it, I weighed some outer slide assemblies.

Here is the data, in the order I weighed them (units are ounces):

Yamaha 354 yellow brass: 7.1
King 3B standard weight nickel-brass: 7.4
Bach LT16M nickel-brass: 6.9
Bach 50 yellow brass: 8.9
Bach 42 yellow brass: 9.1
Yamaha 684 lightweight nickel-brass: 6.6
Yamaha 891Z yellow brass: 6.4

What some people call “nickel-silver,” I call “nickel-brass.”
