Bach 42B vs. 42BG
Hello all - first post as I have started playing my horns again after many, many years of concentrating on guitar, piano, and songwriting. I am curious about the difference between the Bach 42B stradivarius and the 42BG. Is it just the gold brass bell, or are there more substantive differences? Thanks in advance! ...Ray

Re: Bach 42B vs. 42BG
42G has a gold brass bell while 42 has a yellow brass bell. It's common to pair the gold brass bell with the "lightweight" (nickel tubed) slide and the yellow bell with a standard yellow tubed slide. Any instrument with the lightweight slide is prefixed "LT". My 36 Convertible with gold brass bell and lightweight slide is called LT36CG although the bell just says "36G".
