Title says it all. I haven’t seen a custom option on their website, anyone know if they offer that service?

Last time I checked no. I checked with them and asked about smaller bass pieces, and it sounds like in the future they might look into doing custom work.

I also have not heard of them doing any custom work since the company was sold following Scott Laskey's untimely passing. There are definitely other options out there, and since I believe Laskey mouthpieces are produced in Canada, if you are not in Canada, sending a mouthpiece back and forth could be a pain.

Awww bummer. I wish I had more money while Scott was still with us, very sad.

Try Stork Mouthpieces. He is in Vermont. His work is impeccable!

Before starting his own company, Scott was "the custom guy" at Schilke for years. Did several pieces for me in the 80s and 90s. After he started his company, I called to ask him if he'd be able to do another custom for me. In his unique "Scott way", he grumbled "I started this company so I wouldn't have to do that anymore".

The next "custom guy" at Schilke was Karl Hammond, right? I have heard he still does some custom stuff. Greg black might as well, though both have pretty sizable operations now, in which case it might be the "we offer so many variations so we wouldn't have to do custom work" thing might be in play.

I guess the question for the TO would be, what exactly do you want to have done? A custom mouthpiece from the ground up? Customization of an existing design? Heavier blank?

Karl Hammond has done custom work for me, as well os others. He has been embraced by the Drum Corp crowd, which keeps him busy, but I doubt he would decline the work.

If you really want to go full on custom, talk to Vennture. I'm working with them at present on a couple of projects.

I'm still waiting for the small shank 54M which they have been saying is "coming next" since they (re)launched.

You could purchase a smaller Laskey and have Karl Hammond do modifications on it. Technically would be a custom Laskey.

Just so you know, mScott trained Carlo to do mouthpiece work when they were both still at Schilke.
