This is getting weird - for the 2nd time in a week or so, I got a message stating that I am permanently banned from Trombone Chat because of spamming. ???
The 1st time was when I tried to sign in; the 2nd time was after I had already looked at several posts and tried to go to another topic. Both times I came back later and got on with no problem.
I've been a long-time member going back to the old forum; never have and never would try to spam or scam anyone. In fact, it has been awhile since I have even posted in the classifieds or responded to an ad.
What gives? Anyone else experience this?
And, most important, what do I do if, after coming back several times, I still can't get back on?

Re: Banned from Forum Messages
I experienced the same thing. On the page that tells you that you’ve been banned, there is a link to contact the board. I emailed, but my access was restored prior to a response from the board.
I’m thinking it might have to do with the remember me/hide online status…I used it so I wouldn’t have to enter my password every time I logged on. I think that may have triggered the spammer software…

Wish I could help but this problem is well above my pay grade.
If you find yourself locked out of the Forum for any extended period of time, send me an e-mail (symphonybone *at* yahoo.com) and I'll see what I can find.

I had the same thing happen recently. Matt's looking into it.

Yup. Same situation happened to me this morning. Later in the day, I was able to get back on without having to message the administrator. All is well (for now).

Same here—happened to me last week. I thought I was really banned for a sec! Glad it’s not just me.

I've been a band member before but not a banned member.
(just joking around, I didn't actually receive a band notice)
