christian lindberg Resistance Balancers

Post by whitbey »

I have project that I might want to use the christian lindberg Resistance Balancers.
Not a trombone project.
Anyone know how much they sell for? I do not see them on any of the trombone store web sites.
And how much do they weight?

I don’t think the Resistance Balancers have been sold by Conn/Selmer for at least 10 years. I have often thought about making my own set with a variety of lengths and options to add brass tab weights to taste.

I believe that Harrison, who is a frequent contributor on TromboneChat, did a lot of experimenting and actually made his own rendition of this product. However, that has not been an active topic for a few years. Maybe Harrison can explain his journey.

Sure. I use these pretty often. You can make one with a sewing machine, Velcro brand display backing material, Velcro, and suede material. If you need metal pieces/ weights, harpsichord pegs are the perfect size and are actually really cheap.

But the OP has given almost no details for the project. They aren't sold anymore.
