Shortbone Valve Trombone?

Post by braymond21 »

Hi everyone,

I've got a Shortbone in on consignment and was hoping to gather some more information on it. It's pitched in Bb and is obviously a more compact version of a valve trombone but that's about all I know! The customer that brought it in mentioned it may have been made by DEG and only a few were made

Any insight on this thing and what selling price would be appropriate?

Not exactly DEG, but a different company (Music Market Products) that was also owned by Don Getzen.

Apologies for the back-to-back posts...

Does it come with a case? That's a non-trivial consideration; finding a suitable case might be a challenge.

No case. I had the same thought though, I have no idea where you'd find a case for it. I figured you'd have to get one custom made
