He had a good run. Nobody like him.

I worked with him during his revival in the late 80s. He was the consummate professional. The world is worse without him.

The way he sang "The shadow of your smile" catched me totally - he really tells the story - a true great arstist left the planet - RIP

I did a PBS show with him. 3 days of rehearsals and pre taping. Great guy. Told him a really dirty joke right before he sang a ballad. Still remember the joke. Can’t put it on here!
