Thanks! These links are a great resource for ensemble pieces (that I don't have to go and fund myself).

I think I'll take these over to Cool Websites and feature them, so that they don't get lost.

yeah, I went to Dave Taylor last night, before I even saw this thread.  I in fact looked hard and long to find it.

I need to pick up some music for juries and such but I've got some problems.
-I don't trust hickeys security at the moment
-I've already looked through windmusicplus.com and have a hort list there
-I need info about what level or grade the piece is
-euphonium music... technically (trombone music is fine but if I can get lots of euph music that would be preferable.
-No Bach ('cept PDQ), Mozart, Handel, Telemann  Nothing baroque (no offense but not my favourite.

One of those sites is selling illegal arrangements.  I contacted the seller and he says "these are my original arrangements (whatever that means) so no copyright is necessary".

Beware.

Two ways.  One, you can just put the URL in your post.  Make sure you don't have periods or commas after it; putting it on a separate line is easiest.  Example:

http://www.fierabrass.fr.st

The second way is to use the URL tags.  The code looks like:

Code:Fiera Brass

with the result:

Fiera Brass

Music scores has some free pieces, but you can view all their music for free.  Their membership to the site is only $24.95 a year.  I'd subscribe but no credit card or paypal account.  Parents are afraid to set up paypal account Image .  I try to keep ZoneAlarm patched but they just don't think putting credit card # online is "safe", but couldn't anywhere you buy something with a credit card use your #? this post is getting too long so I'll stop

Wow! While there's not everything by a long shot, there's quite a bit here. Nearly every major Tchaikovsky work including Symphony 1-6, Capriccio Italien, Marche Slav, the Nutcracker, 1812, Romeo and Juliet, and the 1st Piano Concerto.

And speaking of piano concertos, Rachmaninoff's 2nd and 3rd piano concertos as well as a few sonatas (I think) are there too!

Ravel's Bolero.
Holst's The Planets.
Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
Respighi's Pines of Rome.
Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra (although not the best quality if I remember right.)
Every major piece ever written by Brahms.
Peter and the Wolf.

None of the Mahler Symphonies though!?!

No Roman Festivals!

Or Wagner.

Or Carmina Burana.

Or Shostakovich.

Although it is lacking many major works, it's definitely a work in progress and a very good resource as it is.

Can't wait till they get more up!

For anyone that was using Wikifonia and found it had been removed, here is a link to all or some of the files - 34Mb.

https://mega.co.nz/#!BdsFHAKT!DhPOxGyICe7PlhqHIZjGM3C5FKh8ACFc4S3RpwRGZzs

I should mention that it downloads a zip file which opens out to six thousand odd songs (mainly standards) in .mxl format, which can be read by Sibelius and Musescore (free) etc.

You might need to copy and paste rather than try to link directly.

A lot of dead links. I guess it's to be expected, given some are 6 or 7 years old.
