Gig Stool ?

I am using a nice Roc-n-Soc drum throne for my stool for gigs. It's very comfortable for several hours and I already owned it from when another family member took up drums years ago.
Problem is, It's kind of heavy to lug around to gigs, along with the rest of my stuff.

I'm looking for something lighter/more portable, but still comfortable for sitting a few hours. And maybe under 200 bucks?

What do others use that they like?

For concert band settings I use a $3.00 bridge chair from Goodwill. Padded seat. Weighs too much.

For Dixieland where I'm front row I found a plain bar stool so I can be seated but look like I'm standing.

Good luck. Problem is the sturdy seats are heavy.

I have a cheap folding piano stool in my practice room. I haven't taken it on gigs, but it would be an easy, comfortable option

For a light, easy to carry chair, I like these Roll-a-chairs by Camp Time. They seem odd because the front corner is between your legs but I find them very comfortable. I forget which height I have. It is either 17" or 19". I like to be a bit high when playing because I feel it keeps my body more open and closer to the feeling of playing while standing.

Andy, that’s an interesting one! It would be light to carry, for sure.

I have two cheap X frame folding piano stools, one at home and the other in the car, for playing at the venues that have the soft upward facing seats that put your knees above your hips.

I make sure I have a good cushion to sit on and also some blocks to raise the chair. I am a bit taller than the person the chair was designed for. Jason Sulliman has a video about this. No chair to haul and can make most chairs work.

This is the seat cushion I use:

thanks for your ideas, everyone. Jason Sulliman's stuff is always very scientific and well researched.
