They revisited that myth in a later episode to correct some of the aspects of the experiment that they did wrong, with more or less the same results IIRC.

They couldn't find an old beat-up stone-lined straight mute and had to buy a nice aluminum one? Geesh.

Not that it really makes a difference, but a StoneLined mute would probably break apart faster than an aluminum one.
