I just purchased a Leather Gard Gig bag used.
It`s in perfect shape except
The Bell cone and the suspension pieces are gone?
Has anyone ever ordered them separate from the Bag?
Anyone have some laying around that you don`t use?

I don't think they sell those parts separately, but you could make serviceable replacements with a bit of foam and velcro from your local craft store. Or continue without them, in which case the Gard bag is about as protective as any generic gig bag.

I have found that the "cone" itself does NOT add any protection. Thus, I do not advise you to try to order one from Gard (parts made in India).

If you are concerned about protecting the instrument, my recommendation is that you purchase some sheet foam rubber that is 1 inch thick and cut it into a circle disc for the bell end and three rectangular sections for under and both sides of the bell stem/gooseneck/tuning slide area. If you cut the disc the proper size it should hold itself firmly in place. The rectangular sections can be pulled out of the gig bag as needed to put in/pull out the instrument.

I don't use the cone. I took it out so I could carry my practice mute in the bell. If you want the cone from my bag, it's yours. I'll give it to you next time we see each other.

Interesting thing here, Dave. Brian and I played together when I lived in West Virginia.

Brian, Dave and I play together here in Florida. Small world.
