KIng 3B+ oddity

I am owner of two 3B+ trombones. One from 1981: modell 2125, serial 861xxx

The other one from ??: Serial 956XXX on the bell brace, model 2103PL (not PLG but a darker/mor red bell look than 2125 bell)

Did the 2125 have a yellow brass option? I thought they were produced with a rose bell all the time.

Also, the 2103PL looks very rose bellish though it is not a PLG. Maybe the rose bell was standard with the early 2103PL trombones?
I also wonder why they changed the modell designation from 2125 to 2103PL...
And the serial on the brace with 9xxxxx makes me woder when it was produced.

Regards

Al

Hard to judge brass color on Kings depending on lacquer. Do they both have the same lacquer tint? Color on nickel parts will be the giveaway...

no laquer on the nickel, the goosenecks and tuning slide are brighter, more yellow brass like..
