Neotech Grip on 88H

Problems fitting a Neotech grip to my 88H (early 80s).
Neotech’s “gusset” option shows a gusset on the *tenon side of the brace.
But my horn has an L-bracket on the *slide side of the brace, and none of the Neotech bushings will fit over it.
If I cut away plastic to make it fit, the bushing may not be stable.
Anybody know a solution?

I think I used the straight gusseted on mine, with the thinnest shim on the bottom and thickest at the top. I also have a gen1 with the string linkage.

I didn't have a problem, but maybe you just need to move it around a bit with it open to see if there is any good position.

My Neotech fits my 88H easily and my slide looks like yours . You need to be creative with the shims but it should fit.
Try each of the pieces to find the one that fits best . I used the curved one with the screw hole "out on a limb" rather than the compact ones .

I used the curved one for my 88H. Here are a couple pics.

That's the straight gusseted, the curved only has a curved section, but yeah, that's the one to go for.

On my Bach 42 I use the straight, for anyone that wants to use the Neotech on that.

That's without the grip part, but even without the real grip-thing it's still pretty good, or at least not too terrible. Only makes bad ergonomics like 10% worse.

But for those of us with Rheumatoid Arthritis in our hands, it's a Godsend! I almost dropped my 6H from the pain in a concert before I started using the Neotech. Changing mutes does have a learning curve, but it beats trying to play with pain!

It doesn’t.
