FS: Modified TR-180 and Liberty 2B

Post by mahlertwo » Wed Jul 22, 2020 3:59 am

Two solid trombones for sale. Only looking for cash, no trades. Need the money, sorry. Otherwise wouldn't be selling. Buyer pays shipping for either.

Modified TR-180: Has a 183 bell, a Bach valveset, and an MKGR leadpipe. Bit of plating loss on the slide, but fairly minimal. Slide is a 7.5-8/10 with oil. Could use a bit of work, but is playable and solid now. Great if you're looking for a smaller dependent bass. No case, but can throw in a Cronkhite bag for some extra money. $1600 OBO. SOLD.

King 2B: Liberty era, 1946 judging by the serial number. Not the prettiest, but has that classic King sound. Would love to keep this horn, but need the money. Leather case, bit worn-out, but can throw in an SKB-360 for some extra money. $800 OBO. SOLD.

The 2b has been modified, no cross brace on tuning slide, water key, etc.

Any info on who did it?
