Books on embouchure
Are there any books that talk about embouchure? I figure that thought has crossed doug elliott’s mind at least once.

Re: Books on embouchure
Just about any trombone text (Kleinhammer, Fink, Wick, etc.) has a section on embouchure. So do Jacobs (tuba) and Farkas (horn). A lot of the stuff is like mumbo-jumbo, and it may help you or it may not.
Bill Spilka published two books called "Chops" that were nothing but pictures of players' embouchures. Just pictues, no analysis.
Reinhart published (I believe) a book on emboudhure, but you need training to understand it. Doug Elliott and Dave Wilkens have taken training so asking hem for explanation is useful.
Unfortunately I don't think there is what I think you are looking for: a book that tells YOU how to play.

The Reinhardt encyclopedia is not so hard to understand. It's worth reading, if only to give you ideas to think about.

I started with Reinhardt's Encyclopedia of the Pivot System, but then I studied with him for 10 years, about 100 lessons.
I intend to write my own book but that hasn't happened yet.

Doug, there's literally no time like the present.
