FS/FT: King 2104/4B and 6b/60H bell section

Post by Elow » Sat May 16, 2020 7:05 pm

Looking to sell or trade my king 4b, slide is not the smoothest but it pretty good with some rapid comfort, probably a 8/10. If you have something you are looking to get rid of pm me, i would like something unique or a large tenor/euph if possible. Id like to get $600 but thats negotiable to a point. Not going to win any beauty pageants but could look good if you want to strip lacquer. Ill upload photos once i get the chance, well split shipping and buyer pays for paypal fees if chooses to not pay with friends and family. PM for any question or a demo (im a high school student so dont expect much)

Does it have an F attachment, or is it a straight horn?
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing! :D

I would also consider a 2b or 3b preferably 3b though

So both bells with the one slide is $600? I'd love to see pictures.

May I also get pictures? I'm pretty intrigued and might be willing and able to part trade you either half a 3bf or a 1926 King that needs a slide job.

The bottom inner slide tube looks a lot worse than the one above

The top tube has no chrome wear but the bottom could probably benefit from being replaced

By chance, do you have any stocking pictures as well? Sorry for asking so many questions but this is very tempting (if my mom's going to let me hear the end of it)

The top photo is the bottom stocking, the upper stocking has no wear

I’m sorry, i guess my memory has deceived me. I found the other bell and it’s a 2106. 6b? Single rotor duo gravis? If anyone wants it it’s up for sale too not too pretty though. And needs TIS slide

That may be a King bell, but everything else attached to it appears to be Conn (70H?). The 2106 is a Duo Gravis that should have a double dependent valve. Also, King has the bell nut un the slide portion and this one has the nut on the bell portion so it won't even mate properly with a King slide (and certainly not one from a 4B).

Looks like a king 6b bell soldered on a conn 70h TIS valve section.

That actually looks like a 60H valve section. Any markings on the bell/slide receiver?

You are correct, just checked and it’s a 60h mounted to a 2106. The solder job must’ve been real well because i can’t see any evidence of it

I hope it doesn’t come down to that but no one else seems interested so if no one wants it after the price drop i’ll message you

PMed you back about the slide! If you can hold it for a few days, I’ll take it.
