Interesting steam punk trombone, 42 bell but not sure of any other dimensions.  I have never seen  a Bach with a  Benge looking F-Attachment, and the looks of an oversized King hand slide crook.

The finish is interesting, never seen anything like it.  Curious about the sound.

Hi, the horn doesn't appear to ever been that price, but it's not cheap. 

The finish is interesting.  Looks like the bathroom light fixtures I saw the other day at Lamps Plus!

I do like the patina, but this is the same horn (the second one) from the other thread that blew up and died (and I helped!)

I'd just like to say...

I just don't think it looks good. The finish is inconsistent, and it looks like the "loop" on the tuning slide was lacquered, or just not treated, but it sticks out like a sore thumb. The close up of the slide end bow just shows a lot of inconsistencies in the finish. For that price it should not have those.

I also worry what the feel would be like. The oversized squared bass crook is part of the Bach 42 sound. I wouldn't want a 42 without that.

So yeah, I'll keep my vanilla 42T. I'd rather have honest wear and patina than a inconsistent "aged" finish.

yeah, it needs some gears added to the linkage that serve no purpose, and a bunch of optics and other devices. Then it would be steampunk, and might actually be interesting.

Beautiful! As said before, I'm not the biggest fan of the inconsistencies in the finish, but I think it's a cool-looking horn otherwise.

I wonder how it plays.

The one I posted doesn't.

It was made in an aircraft engine plant using spare parts.  The mouthpiece receiver is a 1/2" nut (1/2" threads) and doesn't seal to any mouthpiece.  The slide was not aligned well and takes two hands to move.  It's all stainless steel and is heavy as ****.  But it's interesting.

Some clock parts, perhaps a gear inside the tuning slide loop.  Perhaps I can just get a secondary tuning slide made with steam punk parts when I want to take the "clinical look" out of my 42T.  When I decide to go back to puritanical, I can simply put my original tuning slide back on.
