Worth watching (and listening!) - Jazz trombonist Mark Bassey has been described as "a superb, witty player" (Dave Gelly). His playing can stretch from the "raucous" (John Fordham) to an "exquisite sound and perfect phrasing" (Brian Blain). Regarded as a highly versatile musician, Mark covers many styles from swing to bop as well as the more contemporary fields.
Mark will be performing a selection of his own charts with The Hootin’ Annies Big Band in Stockport on 12 October. Come and join us at Village Point, Heaton Moor Road , Stockport, cabaret style seating with full bar service. Easy access by bus, rail and car.
The event will make a donation to the charity Little Steps Big Futures which works to provide education for children living in poverty.
Tickets £10 at the door on the night. Details on band FaceBook page.

Absolutely. Been looking at his charts in advance of the show. Interesting, some challenge, some humor but accessible. Nice venue, good public transport links.
