A small, somewhat shameless plug : check out the new Youtube channel of ensemble I Fedeli, a collective of world-class specialists of (mostly) early wind instruments that seeks to recreate the sound of a 16th or 17th century Stadtpfeiffer/Piffari/Town waites band. I am not a regular member of the group, but I was lucky enough to join them for a project last fall. Anybody with an interest in early trombones should keep an eye out for that group!

Very nice stuff!
I'm especially in awe of the slide trumpet player in the first video. That thing must be quite a challenge to play. She does pretty well on alto sackbut as well.
