Fuzzy Attacks in Low Register

Lately I've been experiencing fuzzy attacks in my low resister, Bb and below. I've experimented with some adjustments and found that if I protrude my lower jaw a little, causing the bow of the slide to rise slightly, the attacks seem to clear up. Is this a viable technique? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

What articulation are you using in your low range. The lower you play the closer to a tha articulation you get to.

It's funny. sabutin used to say Try everything, and if it works, do it. And time goes by and little weirdnesses show up and something has to change a little and then it works. And then later it changes a little and the thing that works becomes different. Does this ever stop? No sign of it yet...
