A 5G with V cup

Oops - missed the small-shank part of your request! My references were all large shank.

For small shank, you're more limited in this relatively large (5G) size range. Perhaps:
• Curry 5M
• Stork 5
• Wick 5BS (somewhat V-shaped)

The 4CL is not really all that V shaped. The 2CL sorta is, but it's a lot bigger, and has the largest throat diameter you're likely to see. The outer shape doesn't match the cup inside.

None of the small shank CL pieces have a V cup.

I played the 4 and 4s and preferred the s due to the larger back bore. Your mileage may vary.

In the long run, Doug, will save you time and money. Because his parts are resalable. AND he knows his stuff.

On Stork,the type blank makes a bigger difference, than the back bore. Light and heavy. (heavy is about the same weight as standard Bach) Light is super responsive. I use both (1.5BT,1.5BS light)

Both backbores are bigger, than Bach 5g (small shank)

Unless they've changed things recently, the heavy weight stork is closer to a mega tone mp, not the standard Bach blank.

I am little biased, but I think a Marcinkiewicz 7G is a great choice. Slightly shallower than a 5G with our V cup shape. We also make and stock the 7G-S with a more open backbore.

I know you said you were looking for a small shank however.....
I bought a Wessex 4Y mouthpiece a while ago.
I could not get it to work for me. Fast forward a year. Now it sounds great, maybe I`m doing more large bore playing but it`s wonderful.
It`s about a 5G-ish rim with a very deep V shaped cup in Gold plate
