Spring stop in main slide
So I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to take out a spring that it’s inside of my main slide that acts like a stop. It makes such a loud clanging noise even with the slightest touch.

It'll take a good technician about 5 minutes to pull the spring(s) and put in a set of regular bumpers.

I like my horns with the springs. Maybe the tech can de-clang it???
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing!

It’s less of a clang and more like loud spring decompression. I personally like ing the full mobility around 1st position. Could be that it has a bad spring but I’m so used to not having one.Kingfan wrote: Sat May 26, 2018 8:02 pm I like my horns with the springs. Maybe the tech can de-clang it???

It's possible that one of the springs is loose. Before you head to the tech, try this:
Pull the outer slide in as far as it will go and squeeze it a bit. That may get the spring to "seat".

I just gave it a couple of squeezes but it’s still making noises. It sounds like the slide hitting the spring. I’m just thinking I’ll get it removed. How much would something like that cost?BGuttman wrote: Sun May 27, 2018 7:29 am It's possible that one of the springs is loose. Before you head to the tech, try this:

Probably whatever your tech's minimum charge is. It's a 5 minute job.
