Bach 42B M gooseneck

Post by Rrova »

Quick question: If one wanted to increase the size of the gooseneck on the 42B, would a tech be able to open it up (while they are putting in a new valve), or is it better to just buy the M pipe from Hickeys?

It looks like Brad Close only offers a neckpipe for a straight 42 on his website (they look great though!). I would imagine it would be too long for a 42b though.

If you wanted one, I'd probably send him an e-mail. I bet he could make a shorter version.

Brad will make almost anything you need, I just received a 42B red brass pipe from him.

Call him & ask!

Going a little off topic... How do you like the playing characteristics of the red brass pipe vs the original?

I personally have not played one to compare it to a stock pipe.
I'll have my customer chime in when he has it installed.
