FS: 1990 Era King 3B

Post by ttf_ashughart50wr »

This is a unique package that originally was serial number 41 369XXX (1991) King 3B valve trombone.  I added a King 3B slide from the 1990's era to the best of my knowledge and recollection - there is a number on the slide - 3793 (this is NOT a serial number)  I never used the valve trombone but all of the valves and slides move freely.  I am truly a slide trombone player and have enjoyed this horn as a lead in big bands, smaller ensembles and brass quintet.  There are two small dents on the tuning slide of the bell which I tried to capture in my photos.  The case is an original case from 1990 and is in excellent condition.  I am asking $1100 for this instrument but am interested in best offers because of its "hybrid" nature and uniqueness.

Thank you to those forum members who are helping me with the identification of the serial numbers.

I will not ship internationally and prefer the lower 48.  Shipping will be approximately $60 because of the added size and weight of the case.  I prefer PayPal for payment.

The pictured horn is not from the 1960’s.

I certainly do not want to mislead anyone.  On the valve section of the horn the serial number is 41  369XXX  .  On the King website that showed as a 1960 serial number.  If someone has better information I am willing to listen.  I did not purchase the horn new.

The “41” in front of the longer serial number indicates it was made in 1991 (#+50 for year of manufacture from 1987-1995 or so).
