WTB/T: Old, Cheap Tuba
I'm a bass bone player looking to get a tuba for my tuba gigs. Nothing special, just cheap, preferably around the $500 or less range, but i could potentially go higher.

Where are you located? Shipping will make a big difference in the price.

If you don't mind the drive...
There is a Conn on Craigslist west of Richmond, VA for $550. https://richmond.craigslist.org/msg/d/conn-tuba-with-case/6422863133.html

Looks like a misidentified Euphonium.

That sure looks like a bell-front Baritone Horn (American Baritone).

I would sell this but I'm not sure how I'd ship it.
This is an institutional, visibly worn, 3-valve King tuba

I've read in the past that many tuba sellers/buyers use Greyhound shipping services (yes, the bus company). More affordable so I've heard. Never used them myself. The buyer would have to go to their Greyhound station to pick up the tuba.

I sold a sousaphone case this way last month on eBay using Greyhound's service. It is by far the cheapest way to go with shipping very large, bulky, heavy items. The tracking information is a nightmare because not all Greyhound's will scan these items. Also, if there's no room for your big item you're shipping, it has to wait on the side at a station up to a week at times just for free space to appear because people come first before packages. My case was held up in Texas for over a week because of this, while not getting scanned, which made it seem like it disappeared from their system. But it showed up eventually. In a time crunch? Choose UPS or FedEx instead, but sometimes 4 times as much for shipping costs.

Email me at ] if you would be interested in a Conn E flat tuba. It's ugly, but plays well. I'll send you some pictures.

I have a kind of frankentuba for sale - most of it is a King 2381 and it has a York/Pan-american bell
This would be $1550 + Shipping from Chicago
Would like to move it fast
4/valve, front action
Very nice sound
