This is a brand-new warranty replacement instrument, there is 2.5 years warranty
remaining. I have played this instrument for 3 month, and it is as-new with
perfect finish and without dents.

Valves are running smooth from day one, polish/finish is even better, and the
valve slides do operate more freely than the first Danube in my possession.

The Danube plays sweet and well with a Bobo Solo mouthpiece or a DW Ultra AT5U
(turned down to American shank). Intonation and response is fine except for the
occational need to finger mid-system bas clef G 12 (insted of 0) and Gb 23
(instead of 2).

There is no dreadful F-tuba-C, the Bb below staff with 4 speaks sonorous.
Being a 5 valve instrument, bottom-system E and below-system A are fine in tune
with 235 (making E and A major scales easy!!!), below-system Ab 45 is slightly
sharp, G 234 fine. Gb-F-E above pedals need down-lipping, but speak otherwise
fine.

Sound has a nice core to it in middle and low range, and the tuba
blows easy and with good response. It has a brighter sound quality than the
MW 2141 I own (DW Ultra AT3U). It plays darker than the 4/4 F-tubas I have
tried, and brighter than most 18" bell Eb tubas, on the other hand, it has
enough oumph to support a Eb bass voice in brass band.

I am selling my second Danube Eb tuba as I don't have the need for two Eb tubas,
and want to raise money for a contrabass trombone. You are welcome to test-ride
in Copenhagen, I can also ship to Europe at buyers expense, and I accept Paypal
(please add 2% in case you don't want to use the friends-and-family option).

Please PM or mail me at marccromme-at-gmail-dot-com for more info.

And to avoid potential misunderstandings: I have been informed today that Wessex Tubas warranty only applies to original purchaser and not on second-hand instruments.
