Oberlin Trombone Workshop July 10-15

Post by ttf_anonymous »

The Trombone Workshop is an intense five days of master classes, individual and group coaching sessions, a trombone choir, and faculty and group recitals. Developed for high school and college students, the workshop will cover solo and etude preparation and performance, orchestral excerpts, performing under pressure, fundamentals and warm-up routines, and audition preparation.

Students will be provided with housing, a meal plan, and will have access to the conservatory's library and practice rooms.

The workshop concludes with a participant concert in the evening of July 14. Students and faculty will perform together in a mass trombone choir, along with faculty, participant, and small group ensembles. Students may depart campus that evening, or stay overnight and depart on July 15.
